Open land photovoltaic installation

With open land photovoltaic installations the PV -modules are mounted on specially dimensioned underframes. These underframes can be implemented as module tables or as single row racks with an optimally determined positioning (Angle Position) of the PV – modules.

The sub-construction absorbs the loads (element-, wind- and snow-loads) and passes these on into the foundations. The shape of the sub-construction depends on the local conditions.

The ramming post assembly and the flexible concrete foundations enable a cost-effective, fast and backwards construction with all usual crystalline and thin panel modules .

The basis of the system are the ramming posts, which are brought fast and precisely into the ground. The forward designed aluminum construction (row or table sections of 18 modules) can be built up with an angle between 20° to 40°.

To consider is a module assembly, where the lower edge of the modules is minimum 1 meter above the ground. Only so larger damage can be avoided by feasting sheep. Also the shading of the modules by growing plants can be avoided.

With open land installations it should be paid attention absolutely to the fact that:

  • By dimensioning the cable diameter correctly on very long cables, the losses can be below 1%.
  • A very good grounding be made on the entire open land installation
  • A multi-level protection device against overvoltage is present, so that the inverters on the DC side like also on the AC side shall be protected against overvoltage.
  • Gas alarm systems shall be installed in the inverter areas when the installation is on garbage depots
