IPS® - Independent Power System

Das IPS® – Independent Power System - is a transportable enrgy center,

which offers to everybody who has no public net or wishes no public supply, a solution for self-sufficient power supply.

The IPS® center can be installed either locally in a building or delivered in a “ready to plug” container (10’or 20’).

The IPS®container developed by SOLARtec, modulates, distributes, manages and supervises the electricity produced by the solar generator. This concept of a self-sufficient power production is completely independent of traditional fuels, like gas or oil.

An intelligent energy management ensures on one hand that produced energy is directly fed into the net and led to the consumer and on the other hand that surplus energy is stored in a high-quality battery plant. Thus this energy is permanently available during night or during bad weather periods.

The inverters and the load controlling devices

supervise the condition of the accumulators and guarantee protection against overloading or over-discharging. The accurately coordinated concept guarantees a continuous tension of 230 V and compensates the peak loads. If necessary, an auxiliary generator can guarantee the bypass during bad weather periods.

The equipment of the IPS®consists of a 5-fold climatic protective function, an energy storage/battery plant, a battery inverter, a module inverter, a PV main distribution board, an achievement and a consumption monitoring, a back-up system and a functional monitoring. The sturdy steel container protects additionally from outside access.

The solar generator is equipped with high-quality solar modules and installed onto a particularly by SOLARtec developed ground swiveling rack. By this special swiveling system (manual or hydraulic) and the associated optimal alignment to the annual irradiation angle of the sun, one obtains the greatest possible yield.

makes an optimal adjustment of the Independent Power System to the necessary conditions possible. Depending upon need of performance, available space or budget a 10 foot IPS® container i.e. can be equipped with an output of 16 kVA to 42 kVA or a 20 foot IPS® container with an output of 50 kVA to 120 kVA. The IPS® energy container is marked according to standard ISO 668 and ISO 6346.

Each design of IPS® container is type certificated; the adherence to the quality requirements is examined by audit companies. If the energy container corresponds to the requirements, the series receive the CSC permission for overseas shipment.
Connected to all four standard ISO corners of the substructure are the pins for electrical grounding, potential equalization and overvoltage protection arrester.

The IPS® Independent Power System is manufactured completely in Luxembourg and contains already all necessary components.
