

The company SOLARtec s.à r.l presented during the INTERSOLAR Europe 2010 in Munich for the first time the IPS®-BTS Independent Power System for communication sites which are far from a public net.
IPS®-BTS is a concept for permanent self-sufficient solar hybrid power supply for critical current supplies in safety-relevant applications with an additional availability backup by fuel cell technology.
With the 10ft (feet)-IPS®-BTS wireless we present an advancement to the already in the year 2009 presented 20ft-technical centre. The air-conditioned burglary-resistant IPS®-container serves as space saving basis for future communication sites and contains the BTS plant additional the power supply technology. The main power supply of the overall system is conducted by solar panels, which are individually configured depending upon location and equipment of the BTS.
The safe availability of the electrical power supply is ensured by an integrated fuel cell system that, depending upon assigned fuel, also permits the employment of the BTS plants at environment sensible locations.
