The government aid consists of 2 components:
1. Investment grant
The amount of the aid is granted within the framework of Règlement grand-ducal du 19 février 2008.
30% of the investment costs are refunded, with a maximum of 1.650 € per kWp, for the involved real costs for an installation of an individual photovoltaic solar system, mounted on the roof, or inserted into the facade or other ourside walls. Besides, the power of installations eligible for support must not exceed 30 kWp per location.
Cost of materials (modules, assembly systems, wiring, inverter, electric safety devices, export meter) as well as the assembly expenses belong to the installation expenses.
The assistance of a qualified energy adviser with your project is subsidized with 150 €.
Furthermore the investment must be effected between January 1st, 2008 and December 31st, 2012 and the application made up to March 1st of the following year at the administration de l'Environment where also the appropriate request forms are available.
2. Compensation for electricity fed into the grid
The provided electrical power, which is produced by a PV system and provided to the power net, is compensated by the Règlement grand-ducal du 8 février 2008. The compensation is guaranteed for 15 years and depends on the size of the plant as well as the year of introduction.

Taxation of an operator of a photovoltaic system is regulated by the Circulaire L.I.R. n° 14/2 dated 23 mai 2003.
